Store the mat in a dry location away from direct sunlight, and avoid placing anything on top of it, as this may cause permanent indentations. Do not apply adhesive tape to the surface, and keep the mat away from direct heat. Never use corrosive cleaning products on the mat, and be sure it is completely dry before rolling it up for storage.

If cleaning is necessary, there are two recommended methods. Method 1 involves filling a spray bottle with water and adding 20-30 drops of tea tree oil. Spray the mat and wipe it down with a clean cloth, then let it air dry unrolled. Alternatively, Method 2 involves wiping the mat with a cloth dipped in soap suds or a laundry powder solution, rinsing it with water, and then drying it with a towel or cloth.
